Frequently asked questions

KönigShield: short & clear

Frequently asked questions about the timber blade

  • What does a timber blade do?

The timber blade pushes logs together and stacks them on top of each other. It protects your tractor and you as the driver from rolling logs while building the pile.

  • What timber blade sizes are there?

KGD offers the KönigShield in several blade widths, matched to different tractor track widths. KönigShield 1700 and KönigShield 2000 cover the majority of standard tractors. You’ll find selection details on the KönigShield page.

  • Does the timber blade fit my front loader?

The KönigShield is designed primarily for three-point front mounting.

  • Is the timber blade certified?

Yes. The KönigShield complies with the relevant Austrian standards and is CE-certified. The certificates are included in the product documents you receive after your enquiry.

  • What is modular about the KönigShield?

The entire accessory range is modular. The individual holders can be bolted onto the hole strips by the customer as required.

  • Do I need front hydraulics for the timber blade?

A timber blade makes the most sense at the front, because that gives you the best overview.

  • What is the difference between KönigShield 1700 and 2000?

The difference is the blade width: 1,700 mm vs. 2,000 mm. Both have the same hole-strip system for holders. The 2000 offers more piling area and suits larger tractors and more material per pass.
